FlatMate.in Refund and Cancellation Policy
Welcome to FlatMate.in, your trusted platform for finding the perfect flatmate. In order to contact other users via call/chat, you have to be a premium user. We want to ensure that your experience with us is transparent and enjoyable, so we've outlined our Refund and Cancellation Policy for our two distinct plans: the DIY Plan and the RM Plan (Relax Plan).
DIY Plan:
Here's what you need to know about our DIY (Do It Yourself) Plan:
- Upon purchasing our 30-day Premium Plan, you'll immediately gain access to contact other users via call/chat and view their detailed listings.
- If, within the first month of your subscription, you are unable to find a suitable flatmate, you may request a refund.
- You'll be eligible for the refund once your premium ends. That means you can request a refund only after a month of the purchase date.
- Refund Breakdown (If you've Paid 599): ₹379 (Value Of Service) + ₹220 (Platform Fees and applicable taxes)
- Only the "Value Of Service" portion is eligible for a refund.
RM Plan (Relax Plan):
Our RM (Relationship Manager) Plan offers a personalized approach to finding your flatmate, combining the benefits of the DIY Plan with additional support:
- Upon purchasing the Relax Plan, a dedicated Relationship Manager will be assigned to you. They will actively contact potential flatmates on your behalf and coordinate property visits.
- You can expect a call from your Relationship Manager within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Support from the Relationship Manager will be provided exclusively over the phone.
- Your Relationship Manager will be available to assist you on working days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays.
- If you wish to request a refund, you can do so after 30 days of payment. You will be eligible for a 50% refund of the amount paid, unless your Relationship Manager has already arranged 10 visits for you, in which case a refund will not be granted.
- Refunds are not applicable if you have failed to engage with your Relationship Manager (RM) after their attempts to contact you for several consecutive days, including unanswered calls and messages.
- Failure to respond to Relationship Manager calls for several days after visiting a property or meeting a flatmate arranged by them renders you ineligible for a refund.
Additional Considerations:
- If you choose to extend your Premium Membership for an additional month, you will not be eligible for a refund as it is compensated with a free extension.
- If you disagree with or do not fully accept the terms of this refund policy, we kindly ask that you refrain from purchasing our 30-day plan, as we do not entertain cancellation requests.
- Refunds will not be granted if you seek a flatmate of a different gender, as the success rate in such cases is nearly zero.
- If you have received a discount on your plan purchase, the discounted amount will be adjusted with your refund.
- You are eligible for a refund only if you request it within 3 months of your original purchase date.
- Flat Owners are eligible for a 50% refund on the DIY Plan.
- Eligibility for a refund is limited to two instances only. Once you have been refunded twice, further refund requests will not be considered.
- If you've made multiple purchases of our premium membership plan, only the most recent payment is eligible for a refund.
- When you delete your profile, we promptly remove all of your data from our databases. However, due to this process, we are unable to facilitate refunds in such cases.
- Refund will be processed within 5 to 7 business days after we get required details from customers.
- FlatMate.in regrets to inform you that we cannot offer refunds for any payments made directly to another user as part of the booking amount for a flat. We highly recommend exercising caution and only providing advance payments after personally visiting the property and establishing trustworthiness with your potential flatmate. Additionally, we offer the option to verify your potential flatmate, including checking for any criminal history, to assist you in making informed decisions. This additional step can be pivotal in ensuring a safe and suitable living arrangement for all parties involved.
- If you've opted for the verified tag add-on when purchasing our plans, please note that refunds for add-ons are not applicable. Your refund will follow the policy outlined in the corresponding plan above.
